Our take
Read the 28-day billing calendar
A 28-day cycle is not a calendar month. Repeated charges can create more than twelve payment dates in a year. Compare actual dates and upfront obligations before deciding that the $99 headline provides a lower complete budget.
What the published offer tells you
Sesame Care lists semaglutide and tirzepatide in its public medication information. Approved products listed. Product listings describe a route to discuss with a clinician; they do not establish individual suitability or availability in your state.
The FAQ specifies advance billing every 28 days for the advertised $99 monthly plan. Annual pricing is advertised as a $59 monthly equivalent, paid once every 12 months. Medication excluded; provider prices can vary.
How to make a fair cost comparison
The $99 every 28 days published figure is a care or membership charge. Medication costs are additional; this is not an all-in treatment quote. Compare the amount due today, the next recurring bill and any minimum payment commitment. A low monthly equivalent can conceal a larger prepaid purchase.
Ask for the supply period in days or months and whether the quoted medication amount could change with the prescription. Record shipping, required testing and other charges separately. Do not assume a blank line on an offer page means that item costs nothing.
What would change our assessment
Ask whether the quoted medicine is covered by insurance or priced for cash payment, how that amount may change, and whether any pharmacy or diagnostic charges sit outside the program.
A clear written answer matters more than a broad promise of “personalized support.” Confirm who provides clinical follow-up and how you contact that person. If you are moving from another service, establish a transfer and refill plan with the clinicians before cancelling your existing care.
Product status is part of the comparison
The public offering reviewed here lists approved medicines. Approval belongs to a specific drug and formulation, not to the telehealth platform itself. The clinician still determines whether a medicine is appropriate.
Questions to bring to the provider
- What exact medicine, formulation and supply period does my quote cover?
- What do I pay today, at renewal and if the prescription changes?
- Which clinician and pharmacy are responsible for my treatment?
- What is the cancellation deadline, and which charges are nonrefundable?
